Watch Buying:  Buying Smart

When you want to buy something nice for yourself, like a watch, a common misconception is that you have to spend a lot of money on it. But you don’t have to buy cheap – you just have to buy smart.

If you are looking for a nice watch for yourself or for someone else, you don’t have to break the bank.  There are three things that you can do to help you with saving money on your watch purchase.

  • Compare the prices online – There’s a lot of great sites that you can use for comparing prices. Until you know for sure that you are getting the best price,
  • Look for coupons online – A lot of sites have coupons that you can use to help save money on your purchase.
  • Purchase a refurbished watch – A watch that you would buy new from a website can be purchased for much less if you buy refurbished.  We sell refurbished watches that look and run like new.  Keep in mind that a lot of watches are going to have depreciation so that when you buy the watch new, it loses a lot of its value quickly.  But when you buy a refurbished watch, the depreciation is not as much.

Here are two scenarios to think about:

Scenario #1

You buy a watch at a store for $1000.  With the sales tax that he pays in his state, the total comes to $1060.  A year or so down the road he sells that watch for $500, meaning he loses $560 on his investment.

Scenario #2:

You see a watch for $1000 in the store, but buy a used one for $650 shipped online.  You wear the watch for two years and sell the watch for $500, taking only a $150 loss.

When you make a purchase from us, not only are you going to get a great watch, you’re going to spend a lot less money and you’re going to be shopping a lot smarter.

I came across cashforwatches.com on google. I sent a message over at night and they responded the following day even though it was a holiday. I described my watch, they asked a few more questions, and told me my watch was something they'd definitely be interested in. I sent my watch along with one of my wife's watches she doesn't wear and was paid by paypal (my request) so I could buy another watch I wanted on ebay. They asked me to write a review telling my experience so here it is. I hope this helps guys.
